About the Event
The 3rd Annual Chris Ackerman Poker Tournament is held at the Lake Elsinore Hotel & Casino to help raise funds for our good friend Chris Ackerman, and this year BMXer Stephen Murray. The two years were a huge success as everyone had a great time playing poker and watching the best freestyle riders in the world perform for FREE! We raised a bunch of money and this year, with your help, we plan on going even bigger!!!

About the Casino:
The Lake Elsinore Casino has 85 rooms on hand with most available at a special rate for the weekend. They have a bar, restaurant, pool, black jack and poker on site. RV’s are welcome to park through the weekend in the large casino lot. Call 951.674.3101 for reservations.

About Chris:
I am 25 years old. Four years ago, just before my 22nd birthday, I got injured while riding at Dumont Dunes on a road trip for MX machine magazine. My friends kept me alive for two hours until the paramedics arrived. I was airlifted by an army Black Hawk helicopter to Loma Linda University Hospital where I was in a coma for 3 1/2 weeks. When I finally woke up out of my coma I learned that I broke my neck at the C2 level and was now on a ventilator among other injuries. (For those of you who don’t know the C-2 is the same level as Christopher Reeve, even though I am doing a million times better than he was.) I am now stabilized and am getting on with my life. I learned that just because you’re injured doesn’t mean you can’t still live your life and do things just like everybody else. I have the best group of friends in the world and they have stuck by my side since day one! I love them all!
